During the March 2025 School Board meeting, students from the Unmanned Aerial Systems 1 (Drone) class were recognized for their success. Teacher James Waggener who is also a professional pilot and plane owner, informed the board about the process to become a drone pilot. Drones are not toys and there are rules and regulations regarding where they can be flown, how high and privacy issues. Student Antoino Smothers, Jr. took the exam, passed and is now a licensed pilot.
